We provide consultation services for parents seeking to help their children succeed in school and individuals seeking to succeed in college or a vocation. Our background in school psychology, special education, and assessment means we understand how schools operate, know best practices for determining your child’s needs, and can tailor recommendations to fit both school and home settings. We can help you to understand and navigate the school system to get the right services and accommodations for your student from elementary school through graduate school.
Consultation services include:
- Helping you understand your rights as a parent in the school system
- Explaining the in’s and out’s of accommodations, Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and 504s
- Teaching you how to work with the school system to meet the needs of your child
- Communicating with school teachers, administrators, and counselors about your child’s needs
- Attending school meetings with you to help you advocate for your child’s needs
- Providing on-site observations of your child’s behavior and classroom setting at school.
